The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has entered into a strategic partnership with Microsoft to harness the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics in transforming healthcare. This memorandum of understanding (MoU) aims to drive significant advancements in healthcare delivery by extracting valuable insights from both structured and unstructured health data, ultimately reshaping patient care, improving population health outcomes, and strengthening the overall healthcare ecosystem in Abu Dhabi.
A core component of this collaboration is the deployment of tailored AI solutions, including Microsoft’s AI Copilot and advanced conversational AI advisors. These tools will play a critical role in accelerating disease research, enhancing the accuracy of clinical trial predictions, and supporting decision-makers in monitoring ecosystem health and ensuring regulatory compliance. By utilizing cutting-edge AI models, the partnership aims to streamline complex healthcare processes, making them more efficient and data-driven.
The MoU was formalized by Ibrahim Al Jallaf, Executive Director of Digital Health at DoH, and Naim Yazbeck, General Manager of Microsoft UAE, with HE Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of DoH, also in attendance. This partnership highlights Abu Dhabi’s commitment to innovation in healthcare, aligning with the global shift towards AI-driven medical insights. With the healthcare AI market expected to grow significantly—forecasted to reach $187.95 billion by 2030—this collaboration places Abu Dhabi at the forefront of AI integration in healthcare, enhancing its capabilities in preventive care, personalized treatment, and operational efficiency.
